UNIT 38 SOUNDTRACK PRODUCTION: INTRODUCTION

UNIT 38 SOUNDTRACK PRODUCTION :  INTRODUCTION

After studying how various types of sound are created and used as part of moving image productions ( film , television, animation etc. ) you will complete a written report analysing how music, sound effects and dialogue create mood and meaning for audiences.

You will then then experiment with creating various elements of  soundtracks yourself  using a range of locations and recording equipment for different purposes in a series of workshops.  These will include vocal dubbing , music soundtracks and Foley sound effects.

Finally , you  will create  entire original  soundtracks ( dialogue, sound effects and music) for specific sequences from  moving image production based on the techniques and conventions you have learned.  These can include the total redubbing of your complete films from Unit 22 ( Single Camera Techniques) , as well as sequences from existing films and television programmes.
